Service can be hard to define and give. Is it more Christlike to leave someone alone who doesn't want your love and help, or step in and do something because you feel strongly that they need your love and help? If service is synonymous with love (and I think ideally it is), then when you love someone are you bound to serve them in the way you think they need or the way they want? Do you stop serving someone who needs your help because they are unappreciative and their attitude wounds you? If someone would consider your lack of attention a service, do you give them what they want?
Today, I am going to serve those I love by stepping back and forgiving the hurt they have caused me.
