We got some really sobering news from some old friends of ours in North Carolina a couple weeks ago. The husband has become the fall guy in a case where a man was sent to prison for a murder he didn't commit. Our friend worked for the SBI and is accused of giving misleading testimony at the trial. He and his family are devastated and have used up their savings paying legal fees. I sent them some money; but more important I am praying fervently that the lord will intervene. I don't know all the facts, but what I do know is that this man has great integrity; there is no way, in my mind that he should be made the scapegoat for this and go to prison.
